DIOXIN2006
Oslo, Norway
21–25 August 2006

The 26th International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants – DIOXIN2006 was held August 21 – 25, 2006 at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo Norway.

The symposium brought together 903 participants and 64 accompanying persons from 40 countries to spend five days with an exciting scientific program and memorable social events under the motto: “Communicating the science of halogenated POPs in a friendly atmosphere”.

The scientific program comprised 653 Short Papers of which 254 had been selected for oral presentation by the session co-chairs and scheduled into five concurrent sessions covering 36 topic areas. The remaining papers were presented in two poster sessions after lunch break on two consecutive days. The Short Papers submitted by the presenters are published as Volume 68 of Organohalogen Compounds.

We acknowledge the participation of the 24 companies who were presenting their products and services in the exhibition area. A special thank to the following exhibiting companies for sponsor contributions:
